The concert we played in Charlatan, Gent last november is now available as a podcast. Click here to listen or download ! There's also some 90 degree viewing to be done, a snippet of a new song called "You are special" which can be seen op MySpaceVideo.
The EP is now available in the UK and can be purchased thru the JF on-line shop, there's a link above... (People from around Antwerp can always purchase the EP at Carlo's music shop (Tune-Up), close to 'De Muze', he will probably have a few copies in store pretty soon...)

A new single will be released next week : 'You kill me', a new recording taken from the upcoming Jezus Factory Records EP 'Natural Regression'. We will put the 'new' song (which we first recorded for the 2004 album of the same name) on our MySpace page. The EP will come out in the UK only but distribution and import services will be available to all people with good taste and enough money. (Oh - and it will also be downloadable on iTunes).

To celebrate the release of the EP, we will do a small tour of the UK (all five of us) between the 24th and the 30th of april. We will be racing up and down the country, from urban London to rural Cardiff. Or at least we think it's rural. Dates are here.

There's a couple of new sukilove concerts coming up, with the SukiloveThree though, just Sjoerd, Stoffel and Pascal on bass trying out some new songs for the next album.

"Natural Regression", a brandnew EP featuring 4 new recordings will appear on Jezus Factory Records in the UK only, sometime in April.`

We've just returned from our London mini-tour and a great time was had by all. Thanks to all the good people who showered us with food, attention, love and a place to stay. By this we very much mean Andrew, Claire and Matt. According to I Love Sarah, Englishmen do not brush their teeth but we were not in a position to check this. Next time.

And oh yes, next week in Charlatan will be the temporary end of the 5-piece formation Sukilove. From early next year on, we will be performing as a trio for a while and try out some new ideas.

There's a new EP on its way, it's called "Sun Sun Sun". Tracklist = 1. Sun Sun Sun, 2. Atomic Bongos, 3. Secret Song, 4. Sun Sun Sun revisited. Music probably available on iTunes sometime next week. There's a limited edition coming out (90 ex.) on CDr in a LP cover for the die-hards. Tune-Up/Antwerpen (maybe Brabo) will have a few copies of the EP in their store very soon. If you want to hear "Sun Sun Sun", we've just uploaded it on our MySpacepage.

Via de on-officiële tam-tam uit de wandelgangen hebben we te horen gekregen dat onze nieuwe single "Mama" te moeilijk is voor de nationale radio ("Ik zei nog dat 2 akkoorden genoeg was maar neen, meneer wil er persé 3 hebben..."). De helaasheid der dingen dwingt ons om dit te aanvaarden maar : we troosten ons met de gedachte dat we er theoretisch al een stap op vooruit zijn gegaan qua airplay sinds onze vorige single "Even the angels sin". Daarvan zijn ze de promo-exemplaren blijkbaar ergens tussen platenfirma en radio kwijtgeraakt waardoor we nooit helemaal zullen weten hoe moeilijk die single misschien wel was...

"Studio Jezus en de Zwarte Smurf", het nieuwe Sukilove opnamekot in Hoboken is enkele weken geleden open gegaan met een fijne kinderdisco op zondagnamiddag. Een sfeerbeeld van die ingetogen decadentie vind u hier.

We gaan deze site binnenkort opfrissen, u zal het wel zien...desnoods deze foto's van ons live concert in EKKO afgelopen week.

't Is behoorlijk god*#r maar een storm met venijnig karakter heeft de sukilovebus gedwongen -voor de eerste maal sinds onze allereerste dagen- op Antwerpse bodem te blijven. Het geplande concert in de EKKO (Utrecht) met Coparck kan dus helaas van onze kant uit niet doorgaan. Onze excuses aan iedereen die ons deze avond op het podium hoopte aan te treffen. Niet te lang getreurd, zeer waarschijnlijk gaan we binnen enkele weken wel in de EKKO staan...wordt vervolgd.

Dankzij uw gulle intikgedrag stonden we met "Good is in your bones" op een 18de plaats (van de 30) in de Eindejaarslijst Belgische Beste CDs 2006 van HUMO. Een applausje voor onszelf. Ik had geen idee dat er 30 CDs in België waren gemaakt dit jaar...

Voor de onvermoeibare stemmers onder jullie : op de ZAMU website kan je op "Blood and milk makes holy" stemmen voor Song van het jaar 2006.

Make it a good one & that's some sort of gentle order ! We beloven niets zwart op wit op lichtblauw maar als alles goed verloopt persen we er ook dit jaar nog enkele druppels sukilovemuziek uit die via blinkende schijfjes, begroefde vinyl of nullekes-en-eentjes verkrijgbaar zullen zijn. Happy New Year vanwege de sukilovers !

Pascal's eindejaarslijstje 2006, in platen (Kindamuzik) en woorden (DaMusic).

We zijn ondertussen begonnen aan de 3de (en laatste) single van deze plaat : "Mama" --> Remo Perotti (zie ook Ultra Cowboy en Sjamayee) en co hebben voor ons een skone video in mekaar gedraaid met allemaal moderne apparatuur. Komt dat zien, komt dat zien. Binnenkort (=februari).

Eind december beginnen we aan een klein toertje doorheen NL samen met Coparck. De volgende steden hebben onze aanwezigheid te dulden : Amsterdam (21 dec), Breda (11 jan), Utrecht (18 jan), Den Haag (25 jan) & Gouda (26 jan). Voor meer info klik hier.

Momenteel is de bouw begonnen van een nieuw sukilove laboratorium ergens aan de rand van Hoboken. Feestvuur wordt verwacht rond begin februari.

Deze week komt nieuwe single "Even the angels sin" uit (te beluisteren op de jukebox of MySpace page).

Afgelopen zaterdag speelden we in de AB op het "Psychedelica Now Festival". De mensen van de AB hebben alles schoon gefilmd en on-line gezet: surf naar hier en 'search' dan voor 'sukilove'. Er moet een makkelijkere methode zijn maar wat kan u anders verwachten van 'de moeilijkste groep van Vlaanderen' ?

De Morgen schreef over ons optreden :"Doordacht gearrangeerd maar vanuit de onderbuik gespeeld, bijwijlen aardedonker maar doorkruist met verblindende lichtflitsen : aan iedereen die in ledigheid de volgende zet van dEUS afwacht, toonde Sukilove dat het op kousenvoeten één van van de boeiendste bands van dit land is geworden." Het paard zit op de kar en de ufo's zijn geteld : gisteren was de CD voorstelling van de nieuwe plaat "Good is in your bones" in de gloednieuwe TRIX zaal. Het feestje, de haarkapsels en de dehydratatie zullen de legende ingaan, visuele bewijzen alhier en aldaar.

Volgende maandag : "Good is in your bones" in de CD winkel ! U weet wat te doen...

New album "Good is in your bones" hurries to its release date on the 25th of september. The official CD presentation will be at TRIX/Antwerp on the 20th. Lots of new additions and exciting excitement will pop up on these very pages the next few days. As as starter : the new official PRESS and ALBUM COVER artwork to "Good is in your bones" and the new BIO and LYRICS.

Friday 19th of august.
First of all : Pukkelpop went great, thanks for showing up, it wouldn't have been the same without any of you...Thankfully none of our Casio crap and percussion collapsed during this first concert with the new songs.

We'll also post a listening-only version on our MySpace.com page. A very limited supply of the single will be for sale during the concerts in sep/oct.

The new album Good is in your bones will be released on the 25th of september (instead of the 18th as announced before) on Sukilovesrecords/PIAS in the Benelux and early 2007 on Parasol in the US. First single will be "Blood and milk makes holy" and will come out 21st of august. The first list of live dates is on-line : sukilovelive.

Sukilove recorded the album themselves in TRIX Antwerp and at Greg's place. Aaron Prellwitz mixed it in the Tiny Telephone studio, San Francisco. There's about 50 minutes worth of music on the CD, so value for money will be pretty good. Stylistically, the album is a bit more moody, less aggressive and more melodic then its predecessor "You kill me". But also more quirky. Some new music on the Sukilove MySpace page very soon...

Sukilove has participated on a MOJO cover CD (July 2006), "Revolver Reloaded" with all-new recordings of The Beatles' landmark 1966 album featuring Jim Reid, Ed Harcourt, The Handsome family and more. Sukilove contributes with a darker and less-Indian version of "Love you to".

"Tiresome blues" is now officially available on a Dutch compilation called "Little Next Big Things" to promote some upcoming Dutch talent. More info right here : http://www.subroutine.nl

Sukilove will debut some new songs live in avant-premiere @ Pukkelpop (17th of august, Wablief? stage, 17u30). There will be a small try-out the day before, you'll find out where :)
