Notes :
Recorded in two peanutbutter-filled days in Weesp where Evil Superstars,
Bettie Serveert and Nemo also recorded (it's a small world). We went in to
cut a couple o' B-sides and came out with this record. There's actually another
song we did :"My name is Sammy ?" but we thought it sounded so good,
we should keep it for the next album. By the time we recorded that one, approximately
70 new songs were written. Poor Sammy was forgotten. It's still around somewhere
though.
'Something went wrong' (better known as 'LSD') always was a live favourite of ours but in a much heavier version. We thought the song was a good joke until Frans hit the record button - and then the joke landed on us. Have a listen to Gino's tribute to the Last Post at the end of Piggie Wiggie. A touching moment for all.
Herman Houbrechts wanted to make 'the ugliest cover ever'. I'm not sure he succeeded but he came pretty damn close, I think. He also coined the phrase 'More Cheese' for lack of a better title.
'Small Supernova' was supposed to be the 3th single. Unfortunately nobody told the radio stations, so 'Orange' went in for another round, this time in stripped down acoustic version. To conclude the 'Orange' promotion Tour, we will release an industrial House-EuroTechno version in summer next year. The cover will feature Zohra impersonating the existential pain of a peeled orange.
This mini-album was released in a Limited Edition of 5000 copies. Mine's number 000177866.
